French fide test

Fide test

Starting from January 1st 2019, any non-Swiss resident is required to have a valid proof of language if they wish to apply for the Swiss nationality or to renew their residence permit.

The fide test is a certified and recognized proof of language issued by the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).

To register to the fide test or for more information, please contact us via our web form.

Mastering a desired level of French.

Our unique blended learning method is the fastest way to learn and master French. When you sign up for a Swiss French School course, you can define with your own personal consultant which level it is you wish to attain. A personalized solution is offered taking in consideration your availability, current level and the timeline in which you need to achieve said level. Once that has been defined, we guarantee (contractually) that you will reach your objective.

Taking the fide test

Swiss French School is an accredited fide exam center. You can take the test in our Geneva and Lausanne centers to receive an official Language Passport.

The exam itself is composed of 2 separate parts: a written evaluation (reading & writing) and an oral evaluation (speaking & understanding). Depending on your needs you can take only 1 of the French evaluations or you can take both.
